Patina Condo Building, Vancouver

This brand new 42 storey residential tower included installation of wallcovering throughout the corridors, complete interior painting of suites including 2 penthouse floors, Scuffmaster metallic coating to the elevator doors and frames. On the exterior, application of elastomeric coating to the exterior walls and pedestrian traffic coating to all balcony decks and eyebrows.

2011 Gold - VRCA Trade Contractors Chairman Award

 


BCIT Gateway, Burnaby

New building constructed within 2 existing building space.  Interior metal deck ceiling was painted, Glu lam beams were stained and finished.  All interior and exterior steel was painted, including of course all drywall.  Job was painted with the framework of LEEDS Low VOC.

 


BC Place, Vancouver

Complete interior and exterior painting to the BC Place Stadium Roof Revitalization project. This was an intense project from start to finish which required over 30 men most of the time. We completed the interior of the BC Lions and Whitecaps dressing rooms, Food Court , Lev 4 Concourse skylight steel structure assembly including the anodized window frames. The interior metal railings were painted with water based Epoxy coatings, while all of the exterior steel components were done with Aliphatic Polyurethanes. The arena stadium nosings were painted with high build epoxy coating. All of the interior painting was done to LEEDS standards, low VOC paint products. The work schedule was extremely sensitive and Spectrum Painting Ltd completed the project on time and on schedule.

 


Electronic Arts (EA), Burnaby

This was a brand new high tech facility addition for a very high profile client. This project included painting of metal decks, walls, structural and miscellaneous steel, sandblasting and water repellant coatings. As well, supply and installation of various types of wallcoverings, tackable Bulletin Boards, Magnetic Whiteboards and Erase Rite Wallboards.

Guildford Mall, Surrey

Wessex Residential Highrise, Vancouver

This was a total exterior building remediation. Balcony decks were positive sloped and painted with waterproof membrane coating, old caulking and backer rods were removed and replaced with new. Stucco repair was also undertaken and exterior concrete and stucco walls were painted with Silicone based elastomeric paint. All of the steel components of the building were repainted as well as some aluminum window frames. This project was completed in 4 months.

 


YVR Airport, Richmond

Spectrum Painting Ltd. has been involved in the various phases of the Vancouver International Airport in Richmond from the new ITB International Terminal built in 1996, the East and West Chevron additions, as well as the Pier C Expansion. Our work included installation of vinyl wallcoverings, sandblasting of concrete and water repellant coatings. As well, all of the painting of steel components in the interior of the various buildings.

 


Vancouver Convention Centre, Vancouver   

       

Spectrum Painting Ltd. was involved in one of the large phases of the project. This project involved painting of walls, ceilings, steel components, sandblasting of steel work to remove rust. This project had to be completed in a very timely manner with strict adherence to work schedule and quality.

 


Grand Villa Hotel and Casino, Burnaby

This project involved many aspects of our work including painting, faux marbling, textured plaster walls, installation of more than a dozen types of wallcoverings with very complex designs and patterns. The installation techniques were difficult as some of the wallcovering installations were on trapezoid ceiling surfaces. The clients then contracted Spectrum Painting Ltd. to do a complete repaint and new wallcoverings to the attached hotel. The hotel refurbishment was completed on time and on budget.

2010 Silver VRCA Trade Contractor Presidents Award

 


Robert Lee YMCA/Pool , Vancouver

       

The iconic YMCA was restored on the outside and truly became new on the inside. The pool metal decking and concrete soffits were painted with water based epoxies. As well; the stainless steel ductwork above the pool was painted with aliphatic polyurethanes to withstand the chlorine environment.
