Building Envelope Restoration
Vancouver BC
2021
Project Overview
Spectrum Painting & Restorations Ltd. was engaged to complete exterior building envelope renewal work at 1190 Hornby, an occupied tower in downtown Vancouver owned by Concert Properties. The scope focused on restoring the building’s weather protection systems and extending the service life of the exterior envelope through surface preparation, cleaning, crack repairs, sealant removal and replacement, high-performance silicone elastomeric coating application, targeted masonry and brick repairs, and flashing maintenance. Completed under the oversight of a third-party building envelope engineering consultant with regular field reviews and staged inspections, the work demanded careful scheduling and communication to maintain uninterrupted tenant operations throughout construction.
