Centennial Pool Rehabilitation

Spectrum Painting & Restorations Ltd. was engaged by Edifice to complete the rehabilitation of Centennial Pool in Coquitlam, including the removal of failed legacy coatings, sealant renewal, and application of specialized aquatic coating systems. Working in a continuous-immersion service environment, the scope demanded disciplined surface preparation, careful control of substrate condition and profile, and watertight sealant detailing at all joints and transitions. Following preparation, high-performance Ramuc pool coating systems were applied in accordance with manufacturer specifications to deliver a durable, water-resistant finish capable of withstanding the demands of ongoing aquatic service. The completed scope reflects Spectrum’s preparation-driven approach to technically sensitive rehabilitation work.

Scope

• Abrasive blasting to remove existing deteriorated coatings while preserving the underlying substrate and achieving the required surface profile
• Substrate condition assessment following coating removal
• Sealant removal and renewal at joints and transitions to ensure watertight continuity
