Project Overview

Spectrum Painting & Restorations Ltd. was engaged to complete the exterior restoration of the glulam wood structural elements at the Langley Event Centre. The scope addressed a failed legacy polyurethane coating system and required controlled removal, substrate assessment, localized wood repairs, sealant installation, and full recoating — all executed in a coordinated, staged sequence to protect the integrity of the exposed glulam. Work was carried out under the direction of an MPDA third-party coating inspector and in coordination with IRC Building Sciences Group, ensuring compliance with project specifications and long-term performance requirements. The completed system delivers renewed protection against weathering, UV exposure, and moisture ingress.
