UFV Student Housing

Spectrum Painting was engaged by Clark Construction to complete the full interior painting scope for the University of the Fraser Valley Student Housing project in Abbotsford — a new six-storey building delivering 398 student beds to the UFV campus. The project was executed to LEED Gold standards using durable, low-VOC interior coating systems, with all work subject to third-party inspection by the Master Painters and Decorators Association. Work was sequenced floor-by-floor and unit-by-unit to align with construction progress and trade handoffs, with tight occupancy windows driving disciplined planning and execution throughout. A key coordination achievement involved completing all CLT wood ceiling coatings ahead of drywall boarding, creating critical space for concurrent trades in the building’s smaller areas. The project was completed on time, with finished interiors delivering durable, bright, and welcoming living environments for students.
